Nedum Onuoha has hinted that two Manchester City players might soon leave the club.
In recent times, several Manchester United players have transferred to advance their careers. With another transfer window on the horizon, a former City player and analyst has weighed in on possible changes for the Blues, identifying two players from Pep Guardiola’s squad who might depart.
Onuoha discussed this in a video on the ESPN FC YouTube channel.
He said, “Every summer, there’s talk of Bernardo Silva going to Barcelona. I wouldn’t be surprised this year, and I’ve heard rumors that Grealish might also leave.”
“I think it would be a shame to lose either of those two, but that’s the feeling I get. I think the next year to 18 months will see significant changes for the squad.”
City can’t afford to lose two key players this summer. Silva has often been linked with moves away, with Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain reportedly interested.
Although he signed a contract extension until 2026 last summer, his current deal includes a £50 million release clause, which could end his time at City if another club activates it.
Grealish, recently linked with Bayern Munich, has only started 10 of his 20 Premier League games this season.
Considering City has the smallest roster in the Premier League, they cannot afford to lose players without adequate replacements.
