Hans-Dieter Flick has given the green light for the signing of Guido Rodriguez, according to Diario Sport’s Lluis Miguelsanz.
The Argentine midfielder will join Barcelona as a free agent in July.
Previously, it was suggested that Rodriguez’s future at the club would be influenced by Barca’s next manager, and he was initially a personal request by Xavi.
Rodriguez has been a crucial player for Real Betis in recent years and was part of Argentina’s squad that won the 2022 World Cup, playing in one match.
Despite acquiring the 30-year-old, Barcelona still aims to secure a high-profile defensive midfielder, with Joshua Kimmich being a leading candidate.
