Xavi has shared his feelings after being dismissed as Barcelona manager just before the final game of the 2023/24 season.
Speaking to the media, he expressed: “I’m fine. Of course, the past few days have been difficult, not easy. But I have a clear mind and would like to say that I am proud of my two and a half years as coach. It wasn’t easy.
“I respect the president’s decision to sack me, it’s his choice. I will always be a Barcelona fan and support the club.
“I’ve had to make very important decisions. I don’t regret anything. I’ve been honest and sincere with the players, leaders, and sports directors. I believe we have worked with a lot of honor and love for this club.”
Hansi Flick is expected to replace Xavi as the new Barcelona manager after the match against Sevilla. The decision to sack Xavi came after his recent controversial comments suggesting that Barca couldn’t compete for top honors next season.
