According to Gerard Romero, Barcelona’s match against Sevilla on Sunday will be Xavi’s last as head coach of FC Barcelona.
Club president Joan Laporta has contacted Pini Zahavi, the agent of Hansi Flick, to discuss appointing the German coach immediately after Xavi’s departure.
Mundo Deportivo reports that Barcelona is preparing a compensation package for Xavi, which could amount to up to €20 million, though the club aims to negotiate this amount down.
Despite these developments, Xavi appears unaware of his impending dismissal, having been seen in good spirits during Thursday’s training session. However, the credibility of these sources makes the reports difficult to ignore.
