Everton center back Jarrad Branthwaite is a target for Manchester United in the summer transfer window, and the Toffees have already identified Davinson Sanchez as a potential replacement.

According to people close to the matter, Sanchez, who was once with Tottenham, may depart Galatasaray this summer. Premier League teams, notably Everton, are reportedly interested in signing Sanchez since they risk losing Branthwaite.

The 21-year-old has had a wonderful season in the Premier League, but Man Utd now feels that his asking price of about €70 million is too expensive. However, they like the player, and Real Madrid and Bayern Munich are among the other large clubs who share their appreciation.

Although no movements have been made for Branthwaite, Everton is keeping a close eye on Sanchez in case something happens to the Colombian international, who has been playing well in Turkey and catching the attention of Serie A powerhouses Napoli, Fulham, and West Ham.

Will Manchester United make a move for Everton’s defender Branthwaite?

With Raphael Varane’s contract expiring and him departing Old Trafford, Erik ten Hag’s team having a difficult season due to aging and injury-prone backfield players, Branthwaite appears to be just what United needs in defense right now.

Branthwaite may be worth the extra money, but it also makes sense that the Red Devils don’t want to overpay after signing so many costly busts in the years after Sir Alex Ferguson.

Fans of Everton will undoubtedly be hoping that their team can hold out and retain Branthwaite unless a significant offer is made. Sanchez, although he appears to have improved since leaving Spurs, is probably not going to inspire much confidence as a replacement.

As Fulham gets ready to lose Tosin Adarabioyo on a free transfer, the 27-year-old might also be a helpful alternative. Meanwhile, West Ham is considering him in light of their interest in Nayef Aguerd. Galatasaray would consider offers between €25 and €30 million.
