Man United, which see midfielder Bruno Fernandes as a key component of their future, would reject any offers made this summer for the captain.
This week, The Independent reported that Bayern Munich is sure of signing the 29-year-old Portuguese star before the 2024–25 season and is showing interest in him.
Fernandes is available for the Red Devils to accept offers from Al-Nassr and Al-Ittihad. According to insiders who spoke with CaughtOffside, the Saudi Arabian teams are prepared to give up €100 million in order to acquire the Man United midfielder.
The midfielder’s top goal would be to remain at Old Trafford for the upcoming campaign, but Man United see their captain as untouchable.
With one year left on his current contract, the 29-year-old Portuguese international may depart Manchester United during the summer of 2025 if things don’t work out during the 2024–2025 campaign.
Although Man United has made some terrible acquisitions lately, Fernandes is not one of them. The midfielder, who arrived in 2020 and has played in 231 games for the Red Devils, has been an important member of the team, with 65 assists and 79 goals.
Right now, Manchester United is dealing with a great deal of uncertainty, particularly around the future of manager Erik ten Hag. The last thing the team needs is to lose one of its best players.
The Portuguese star’s frustration at Old Trafford is understandable given that the team is not in a position to contend for major awards, but it appears he will stick with the Premier League heavyweights for another season before moving on to explore his options come summer 2025.
